Klangers is a pre school music session lead by Trish (a professional musician and qualified teacher) and Helen (a musician and Chartered Accountant). Trish has performed with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Beverly Knight and Sir Cliff Richard amongst a few. Both Trish and Helen have seen the enormous impact that music has had on both of their babies and toddlers and are keen to share this with others.

Music has been shown to have a very positive impact in the development of pre-school children, helping to develop social skills, numeracy, literacy, language, creativity and communication.

The children at Klangers are encouraged to copy the actions to the songs and join in with the singing. Klangers classes also actively encourage the children to move around as much as possible as toddlers express their love and enjoyment of music by movement and actions. We also encourage motor skills with the use of musical instruments which are available for most of the songs.

Klangers classes also interact with babies who we aren't singing or moving. We encourage the development of rhythmic skills by the use of musical instruments for adults as well as children. Also by involving adults in simple rhythmic skills such as tapping the beat of the music on the baby's body helps baby's rhythmic awareness.

Klangers has something for everyone. Come along and have a go - do as little or as much as you want. Play an instrument and move about or sit and relax! Klangers is all about having fun.
